I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a bachelor's degree in Special Education, and a master's degree in Reading Education.
This is my 22nd year of teaching, and my 2nd year teaching at Wallowa.
Building relationships with students and their families is my first priority each year. I also want learning to be engaging and school to be a place kids want to be.
I grew up in Alaska and 3 of the 4 corners of Oregon. I graduated from Wallowa High School and went to college in Idaho. Idaho was growing really fast and needed teachers so I stayed there to teach. Every break from school (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and Summer) I was back here in Wallowa because I love it here! Two years ago, family needs changed and I needed to be back here. Fortunately, there was a 4th Grade opening and I got the job! I am so happy to be back in Wallowa!
